Sub-processors

Draft — pending legal review. This list reflects the services LaunchPad relies on to deliver the platform. Some sub-processors are located outside South Africa and the EU (notably the United States), which involves a cross-border transfer of personal data. Confirm the exact entities, regions, and transfer mechanisms with counsel before launch.
A sub-processor is a third party that may process personal data on our behalf to provide LaunchPad. The table below lists who they are, what they do, and where they operate. See our Privacy Policy for the broader picture.
Hetzner Online GmbH
- Purpose
- Cloud servers that run your deployed apps and databases. Provisioned in your own Hetzner account.
- Data
- Server metadata, app/database workloads you deploy.
- Location
- Germany / Finland (EU); optionally US (Ashburn/Hillsboro) regions you select.
Backblaze, Inc. (B2)
- Purpose
- Off-server storage for automated PostgreSQL backups.
- Data
- Database backup archives (pg_dump output).
- Location
- United States. EU regions may be available — region should be configurable per deployment.
GitHub, Inc.
- Purpose
- Optional sign-in and source-repository access for deploys.
- Data
- GitHub username, OAuth access token, repository and branch metadata.
- Location
- United States.
Error monitoring (e.g. Sentry / Rollbar)
- Purpose
- Application error and exception tracking for reliability.
- Data
- Error events, stack traces, request context. Configured to scrub secrets.
- Location
- United States / EU, depending on the provider plan selected.
Email delivery provider
- Purpose
- Transactional email: confirmations, password resets, security and deploy notifications.
- Data
- Recipient email address and message content.
- Location
- United States / EU, depending on the provider selected.
We will give notice of material changes to this list before new sub-processors start handling personal data.
